ADSI Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane, was born in 1977 following the example of other associations existing in Europe. ADSI’s goal is to create a link between owners and estates in charge of historical buildings in Italy. For more than 35 years, ADSI has been an important help in coordinating restoration of ancient buildings and in the efforts of giving value to historical houses and properties. The cultural heritage and historical patrimony need to be supported, promoted and protected. ADSI has an active role in defending the Italian heritage and private architectural patrimony.
In 2014 ADSI started with Allemandi & C. publishing house a publication called 12. Every year a book promotes a series of details related to the world of the ADSI patrimony. In 2014 Susanna Pozzoli realized a series of photographs of 12 astonishing gates in 12 Italian regions. The book was published by Allemandi & C. before Christmas.
