Opening: talk on Susanna Pozzoli's project and book VENETIAN WAY

The long-lasting project Venetian Way was conceived and first showed at Homo Faber, international exhibition dedicated to craftsmanship, in Venice at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini. The photographer met 21 master artisans in Veneto Region. Photographs and interviews have been published in a book, by Marsilio Editori with Michelangelo Foundation.

Jacques Rey, head of strategic relationships at Michelangelo foundation for creativity and craftsmanship, will moderate a discussion between Fanny Boucher, Maître d'art Héliogravere (photo-etching master) and Susanna Pozzoli. The conversation will focus on the central role played by the workshop in the life and practice of an artisan. Fanny Boucher has founded Atelier Héliog in 2000, a unique place dedicated to the extremely rare photo-etching technique. She made a limited edition photo-etching form the Venetian Way series, especially for this exhibition. Photographer and master artisan will share their experiences on this collaboration.

Closing night: talk on the project and book A SUMMER WITH MERET OPPENHEIM.

New York based art historian and curator Barbara Stehle, will discuss with Pozzoli on her practice. She will in particular describe her work on Casa Costanza, the wonderful home transformed in a total work of art by Surrealist artist Meret Oppenheim, in Carona (Lugano, Tessin), Switzerland. Stehle wrote an essay on Pozzoli's photography and on the working process for this body of work, published in the book Un'estate con Meret Oppenheim, VAF Stiftung - Manfredi Edizioni.

Vernissage : rencontre atour du projet et du livre VENETIAN WAY

Ce projet photographique de longue durée a été conçu et présenté pour la première fois à Homo Faber, exposition internationale dédiée aux métiers d’art. La photographe a rencontré 21 maîtres artisans dans leurs ateliers dans la Vénétie. Photographies et interviews ont publié par Marsilio Editori avec le soutien de Michelangelo Foundation.

Jacques Rey, responsable des relations stratégiques à la fondation Michelangelo, animera une discussion entre Fanny Boucher, Maître d'Art héliogravure, et Susanna Pozzoli. La conversation portera sur le rôle central de l'atelier dans la vie et dans la pratique d'un·e artisan·e. Fanny Boucher a fondé en 2000 l'Atelier Héliog, un lieu unique dédié à la technique rarissime de l’héliogravure. Ella a réalisé une héliogravure en édition limitée d’une image de la série Venetian Way, spécialement pour cette exposition. Photographe e maître d’art partageront leurs expériences sur cette collaboration.

Soirée de clôture : rencontre sur le projet et livre UN ÉTÉ AVEC MERET OPPENHEIM

L’historienne de l'art et commissaire d’exposition Barbara Stehle, basée à New York, discutera avec la photographe de sa pratique. Elle évoquera en particulier son travail sur la Casa Costanza, maison transformée en merveilleuse œuvre d'art totale par l'artiste surréaliste Meret Oppenheim, à Carona (Lugano, Tessin), en Suisse. Stehle a écrit un essai sur la démarche photographique de l’autrice, publié dans le livre Un'estate con Meret Oppenheim, VAF Stiftung - Manfredi Edizioni.
